How can you, as a client, create space for the job satisfaction of your temporary employees?

For a client it is important to invest in the talented temporary workers you bring in. Based on the following four key points you can increase the job satisfaction of your temporary employees:

You can increase the job satisfaction of your temporary employees by offering a listening ear. Do you really know what they value? Have informal conversations to understand what motivates them and what their concerns are. Perhaps they need more flexible working hours or want to create a better work-life balance.

2. Create a positive work culture

Temporary employees also want to work in an environment where they can thrive. A positive work culture greatly contributes to employees' job satisfaction. Provide a work environment where people can communicate openly with each other, respect diversity and acknowledge the achievements of all employees. Positive feedback also contributes to the mutual connectedness within the team.

3. Develop growth opportunities

Self-employed freelancers and interim professionals want to continuously develop themselves to grow in their careers. As an organization you can contribute to this by offering, for example, training or workshops with which they can work on their competencies be able to work. The feeling of progress and the opportunity to acquire new skills increases employees' self-confidence and job satisfaction.

4. Offers room for a healthy work-life balance

Finding the balance between work and private life remains difficult for everyone. Create a culture in which both permanent and temporary employees feel free to enjoy their free time. Flexible working hours, remote work options and vacation days can contribute to a healthy balance, which in turn promotes the well-being of all employees.
