How have you experienced your first 88 days at Circle8?
Very positive! I felt extremely welcome within the team from day one. At first I sometimes found it difficult that I had to ask so many questions; that annoyed me mostly about myself, but thanks to the help of my colleagues I quickly found my bearings. By now I am getting more and more varied tasks and responsibilities. It's nice to experience the trust of colleagues and to be able to support them. At the same time everyone regularly checks whether I need help with anything. That really feels very supportive!
What has surprised you the most since you started here?
The willingness of colleagues to help and the way I really felt part of the team from the start, despite having started as a working student. It's very nice to work somewhere where they appreciate you and include you in everything right from the beginning. You don't get that everywhere.
Which skills or insights have you developed in this first period, or would you like to further develop within your department?
Everything in Contract Services was new to me, so I learned a lot in a short time about the field and the processes that go with it. In addition, I have gained insight into working within a team: communicating well, asking for feedback, and daring to take initiative are important parts of that. I would like to further develop those skills.
What do you like most about working at Circle8 and why?
That I feel like a full-fledged colleague and am given the space to develop myself. I am getting more and more different tasks and know that I can always turn to colleagues with questions. The field is diverse, and it is precisely that variety that I find incredibly enjoyable, I like to learn new things.
If you could give one tip to a new colleague who is just starting, what would that be?
Ask your questions! In the beginning it felt quite uncomfortable for me to have to ask everything, even though that is of course very normal when everything is new. But I've noticed that the colleagues at Circle8 are always willing to help you, you really don't have to do it alone.
