Our business information and your data are extremely valuable and essential for us to be able to carry out our work. Therefore Circle8 does everything it can to ensure that your confidential information remains safe, private and available. Our starting point is that we handle your data the way we would like our data to be handled.
2. Privacy statement of Circle8
De Staffing Groep Nederland B.V., trading under the name Circle8, is the data controller for the processing of personal data as set out in this privacy statement. Where 'we' and 'us' are referred to below in this privacy statement, this refers to Circle8.

3. Personal data we process and where it comes from
We process personal data because you use our services and/or because that data is provided to us or has been collected by us. You may have given this data to us yourself, but it may also come from third parties, such as your employer or another party with whom you have a business relationship. We also collect data ourselves from public sources such as LinkedIn and other forums.
In the event of inclusion in our process, consent is always requested. This concerns the following personal data.
From employees (including candidates, temporary agency workers, applicants and permanent staff):
- first and last name;
- address details, e-mail address, telephone number, social media contact details and any other contact details;
- date of birth, age, marital status, gender;
- passport photo;
- nationality, ID proof, citizen service number (BSN) and work permit (only insofar as necessary and permitted by law);
- curriculum vitae (CV), information about education and work experience;
- references and certificates;
- IP address;
- other information you provide to us.
From contact persons of clients and other business contacts:
- first and last name;
- email address and telephone number;
- job title;
- social media contact details;
- passport photo.
4. Special personal data that we process
We do not process special categories of personal data, unless this is legally required for a recruitment assignment.
5. For what purpose and on what legal basis we process personal data
We process your personal data for our business operations: mediating the deployment of individuals in the labor market. Specifically, our processing purposes are the following.
Of employees (including candidates, temporary workers, applicants and permanent staff)
Personal data of the employee (including candidates, temporary agency workers, applicants and permanent staff) are processed by us for the provision of services at the moment your data are entered on our website or you register at our office.
Your personal data may be used to:
to be able to provide suitable requests from our clients and/or information about our services;
to be able to assess your suitability and availability for an assignment;
to be able to record an assignment with the client in an agreement with the client and to maintain and comply with the agreement with the client;
for management purposes including management information, the provision of internal control and company security and the conducting of audits and accountants' controls;
the sending of our newsletter;
to be able to comply with laws and regulations.
From contact persons of clients and other business relations.
Personal data of contact persons of clients and other business relations may be used by us:
for making offers for and/or providing information about the services and other activities;
to maintain a business relationship and to enter into and maintain a contract for services;
the sending of our newsletter;
to be able to comply with laws and regulations.
The legal grounds for these processing activities are the following.
if you have given your consent for certain processing;
it is necessary for the performance of our agreement with you that certain processing take place;
certain processing is legally required, such as the processing of your BSN when you enter into employment with us and when you are placed on an assignment through us as an employee;
certain processing is necessary to safeguard our legitimate interests. Those interests consist of being able to properly carry out our business activities by:
- to include candidates in our database who have indicated via intermediaries and forums that they are open to assignment with a client;
- to be able to maintain contact with our business relations and to process the personal data of contact persons for that purpose.
6. No automated individual decision-making
We do not make use of automated individual decision-making. That means that we do not, with your personal data, automatically, without human intervention, make decisions that significantly affect you or have legal consequences for you.
7. With whom we share personal data
We do not transfer personal data to (parties in) countries or organizations outside the European Union.
We only disclose your personal data if this is necessary to perform the agreement concluded with you, if the law requires us to do so, or if you have given your explicit consent. For example, we will disclose your personal data to potential clients so they can assess whether they want to engage you and, if you are selected, to carry out that engagement.
If we engage someone to process your personal data on our behalf, we remain the data controller. That means that we determine for what purpose and by what means this data is processed. Of course we will ensure that good agreements are made regarding the security of your personal data.
8. How long we keep your personal data
For employees (including candidates, temporary agency workers, applicants and permanent staff) we retain the personal data in any case for as long as the agreement with us lasts. If you have indicated that you want to be included in our candidate database, we will keep your data until you indicate that they should be deleted or until the moment we have informed you that we will proceed with deletion. If the law requires a shorter or longer retention period, we will of course follow the law.
9. Your rights regarding your personal data
- You have the right to access, amend or (have) your personal data removed.
- You have the right to have the processing restricted or to object to it and to (have) your personal data transferred to another data controller.
- For the processing activities for which you have given your consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent. Withdrawing your consent does not affect processing activities that have already taken place.

We also point out that providing your personal data as an employee (including candidates, temporary agency workers, applicants and permanent staff) is necessary in order to be able to present you to potential clients and to be able to carry out any assignment. If you do not provide this data, we cannot present or deploy you to potential clients.
Viewing, adjusting and deleting your personal data can in many cases be done via your own personal account, which gives you access to a large part of your registered personal data. Through the website you can at any time change certain information yourself, such as implementing adjustments to your profile or your account details.

We will handle all requests within a reasonable period and in any case inform you within één maand in response to your request.
10. Use of cookies
On our website we use cookies. Cookies are small files that we place on your computer. This way we ensure that the website works well and is better tailored to the visitor. Cookies do not store your name, e-mail address or other personal data. We want both to protect your privacy as well as possible and to make our website as user-friendly as possible.
