How have you experienced your first 88 days at Circle8?
“If I'm being completely honest: it feels like I was unpacking my laptop and jumping into my first Teams meeting just yesterday. Time has truly flown by. From the moment I walked in, I was surrounded by colleagues who were friendly, helpful and genuinely interested. Everyone was willing to answer questions and show me the ropes. Because of that I immediately felt welcome and quickly found my footing, as if I had been part of the team for much longer.”
What has surprised you the most since you started here?
“The strong team spirit. The level of commitment is high and you can feel that everyone is working together toward the same goal. What also positively surprised me is the space you get to share ideas and take initiatives. If you see opportunities, you can seize them right away. You don't have to go through all sorts of layers or forms — you can just go. That is incredibly motivating.”
Which skills or insights have you developed in this first period, or would you like to further develop in the future?
“I have learned that here you can and are allowed to be completely yourself. My self-confidence has grown further, partly because of the responsibility I was given and the trust colleagues placed in me. I am also beginning to better understand how the internal processes work. For the future I want to deepen my knowledge of strategic customer management, so that I can add even more value in my role.”
What do you like most about working at Circle8 and why?
“The combination of professionalism and a friendly, sociable atmosphere. You work in an environment where you are taken seriously, but where there is also room for humor and personal attention. In addition, you get a lot of freedom to do your work in your own way. That mutual trust really makes you enjoy your work. It doesn't feel like 'working for', but like 'working with' each other.”
If you could give one tip to a new colleague who is just starting, what would that be?
“Just dive in! You don't have to know everything from day one. Here you mainly learn by doing, and there's always someone who will think along with you or help you further. My tip: be curious, ask questions and dare to color outside the lines every now and then. It's precisely your own way of thinking and working that makes the team stronger and more fun.”
