Secondary employment conditions are conditions that you agree with the client that are in addition to the primary employment conditions. The primary employment conditions such as salary, working hours and vacation days are always included in the employment contract. Those are conditions that apply to every position. Secondary employment conditions are the extras that increase job satisfaction and improve the work-life balance. Often they also reduce turnover at the company.

An employer is not obliged to offer you secondary employment benefits, but often there is sufficient room to negotiate.
