Medior Test Specialist

BMW Financial Services Nederland B.V. is a leading provider of business mobility solutions and part of Financial Service of BMW Group. A significant part of the IT Department is responsible for fleet mobility solutions and is located in Breda. IT Delivery Breda is positioned to support various BMW entities and European markets.

One of our areas -as part of the OASIS project- is looking for a (medior/senior) Test Specialist. In this role you will be working in an international team of highly qualified staff.   

You work 36-40 hours and your position is based in Breda. Of these hours you work at least 2 days at the office in Breda (together with your colleagues).

Who are we looking for in a Test Specialist?

We are looking for an experienced hands-on Test Engineer who can help us design, build and deliver the proposed business solutions for our European markets.

• ·Capable of working and thinking at different abstraction levels with software developers, architects, and non-technical stakeholders.
• ·Proficient in business English, both in writing and speaking. German is an advantage.
• Good communication skills with peers, product owners, feature teams, architects and stakeholders;
• Structured and organized approach;
• Creative, results oriented, self-steering, pro-active, cooperative mindset and excellent interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Agile approach (Kanban/Scrum) and agile tools
• Experience with working in an corporate & regulated environment

We do have Front-End, but a lot is happening in the back-end (either within our system or in the exchange with third parties)

What do you offer and take forward, specifically as a Test Specialist?

As a member of the project team

• Design, script and execute test cases:
• Provide test (iteration) plans and/or input on testing activities.
• Provide useful information on the quality of the test object(s) and the status of testing activities.
• Share and incorporate lessons learned in improved working assumptions, testing patterns and developer guidelines.
• Build and maintain a library of reusable, elegant test scripts.
• Document standards and guidelines for using these patterns and components.
• To fulfil your role successfully we expect the following experience and skills.

More specifically you have …

• Proven experience with test processes and tools, specifically JIRA-Xray.
• Experience with Agile approach and working with JIRA, GIT and preferably Confluence.
• Experience with designing, scripting and executing test cases.
• Familiar with Context-driven & Exploratory Testing and testing is an advantage.
• Preferably certified ISEB/ISTQB Advanced Test Analyst or TMap NEXT Test Engineer.
• Experience with test automation (API/contract testing (e.g. using Open API, Playwright, Cypress)).
• Experience with working with databases (PostgreSQL) and being able to access and manipulate data (knowledge of SQL).
• Must be able to communicate in English in international projects.
• Very accurate and quality minded (finisher). Cooperative and articulated. Able to coach his peers.

Wensen:

You have an advantage if you have …

• Experience with test (process) improvement is an advantage
• Knowledge of leasing products
• Analytically empowered (judgement and problem solving)
• Enhanced ability to learn because of the large set of functionalities within the application landscape
• K9s to give insights in terms of active services running in our environment and the logging they provide
• Camunda: giving insight to processes within running services
• Any experience with API testing tools like e.g. SOAP UI, JMeter etc. (Endpoint testing)
• Basic knowledge of Java
