Maxime is from Nieuwegein, where she lives with her parents and her French Bulldog, Bubbels. Soon she will move to a new house, but she will stay in her familiar Nieuwegein. After her studies in Global Marketing & Sales at the Business School Rotterdam, she worked for a while in hospitality, where she even advanced to Manager. Still, the marketing world kept drawing her, and that’s how she found her place at Circle8.
And Maxime, what are you working on within Circle8?
As a Content Marketer I focus on social media and internal communication. Every day I work to show the world who Circle8 is and what we stand for. I work daily on the Total Talent Flow: finding, attracting, developing and advancing talent. You may be wondering: what do I mean by this? With this I want to convey the value of our company and ensure that new colleagues and professionals join Circle8.
What appeals to me most at Circle8? The freedom to take on creative tasks and the focus on strengthening the bond between my colleagues. The opportunities and friendly atmosphere at Circle8 are unparalleled. Circle8 truly cares about its employees, with fun events and personal attention. It's fantastic to be able to convey this both internally, to our colleagues, and externally, to our followers on Instagram and LinkedIn!
Can you tell us what your workweek looks like?
Every Monday I start by checking my email and pending tasks, which I immediately include in my weekly schedule. Then I look at my ongoing projects and plan the week, including appointments, internal communication, and social media projects. We start the week with a kick-off with the marketing team, in which we divide the tasks and support each other where necessary. This is something I greatly appreciate and consider very important. Good communication and working together on something are, in my opinion, the key to success in a marketing department.
During this meeting each colleague shares what they are working on, so that we are well informed about each other's activities. After this appointment I will get to work on content for our social media, such as creating carousels, videos, or blog posts. I write the blogs myself and coordinate them with my colleague David, so that we ensure the content aligns with the trends and developments in the industry.
There's always something to do, and I really get the space here to develop my ideas. For example, I've been able to interview colleagues and I took on the project to build a better internal communication plan. Isn't that great?
And then something totally different, but something we'd like to know. What if you could swap professions for a day, which profession would you choose?
If I could swap my job and life for a month, I would choose a job as a CSI specialist in America. My interest in detective work has been with me since my youth, inspired by shows like CSI: New York and NCIS Los Angeles, which I enjoy watching. Investigating and solving cases fascinates me enormously—it even reminds me of marketing, where you research the target audience, discover their interests and pain points, and provide solutions to help a company grow.
