At Circle8 we believe in sharing knowledge and empowering the next generation. That's why we proudly take part in the Jinc program, in which colleagues guide pupils and prepare them for their future. But what does that look like in practice? We spoke with one of our colleagues who shared her experiences about taking part in the program. From personal growth to inspiring conversations with young people — read how Maxime experienced the Jinc program.

What motivated you to participate in the Jinc program?
My motivation to take part in the Jinc program was mainly to help the students and share my knowledge with them. It seemed wonderful to give them more insight into what entrepreneurship entails and what it involves. In addition, I also saw it as a nice challenge for myself, because this was the first time I did something like this. It also gets me out of my own comfort zone. The students can learn from us during a Jinc program but we can certainly learn from them as well, and I did too!

How did you experience your time at Jinc, and what did you find most special about the program?
The experience was wonderful, for both the students and myself. What was nice is that we received a good explanation in advance about what awaited us and the students. That preparation gave me insight into what I had to do and reassured me. The program was incredibly inspiring and it was special to help students get acquainted with entrepreneurship and everything that comes with it. We discussed that entrepreneurship isn't just about money, but above all about doing something you really enjoy and making it your job. You could also see that each student has a different view on entrepreneurship, which led to beautiful conversations. For me it was therefore certainly a fantastic and educational day.

Would you recommend other colleagues to also take part in the Jinc program, and why?
Sure! It's a great opportunity to guide students and give them some insight into the labor market. You not only help them with knowledge about entrepreneurship, but also with discovering their own interests and opportunities. In addition, it's a valuable experience for you as well and a fun way to challenge yourself.

How proud are you that Circle8 contributes to this initiative and why do you find this important for us as a company?
I am incredibly proud that Circle8 is making this possible and is involved in the development of young people in this way. It is important that we, as a company, do our part and support students in their first steps toward the job market. That way we help them better understand their future opportunities and discover what suits them, and it really feels good to be part of that.

If you could describe this day in one word, what would it be?
Inspiring is the perfect word to describe this experience. The day was inspiring because it wasn't just about sharing knowledge with the students, but also about the surprising insights I gained myself. The students' fresh, open-minded take on entrepreneurship led to special conversations that might otherwise never have happened, and that was really something to see. In addition, the experience pushed me out of my comfort zone, which is also beneficial to my personal growth. That makes this day not only educational but also unforgettable.
