Welcome, Anthony! You have now been part of Circle8 for 88 days. How would you describe this first period?
"I experienced my first 88 days as good and busy. There's quite a lot involved in my role as a support employee in the recruitment department. While the recruiters mainly focus on their regular clients and packages, we as support employees need to know a bit about everything. That took some getting used to at first, especially because of the amount of information I had to process.
"Everything we do has a direct impact on important processes, and because of that I have learned to work very meticulously. It is intensive, but also enormously educational and fun. I feel more and more at home and notice that I grow in my role every day."
Can you tell us a bit more about what a typical workday looks like?
"My day usually starts with preparing the day's pricing. These are overviews in which recruiters can see exactly where a client's average rate stands. For them this is crucial to determine how much leeway remains.
After that I dive into the inbox, which is often already quite full of requests that come in early in the morning. It is our task to process those requests quickly and accurately, so that suppliers can immediately offer candidates. Some requests are automatically imported by our robot, but we always have to check them carefully. Other requests I enter completely manually.
The great thing about my work is that it never gets boring. Even after 88 days I still learn new things. That variety and the opportunity to continue developing myself make this job really enjoyable for me."
How did you end up at Circle8? What did you do before this?
"I ended up in office life through my previous job at DHL. There I worked in administration and sales, so I had a lot of customer contact. I learned an awful lot there, but after a while it felt like I was just a number. I wanted to work at a company where I could really make a difference, where it's more personal and where I can stand out.
"Through an acquaintance of mine I got in touch with Lisa Luchies from Circle8, who is now my direct colleague. She was so enthusiastic about Circle8 that I immediately became curious. The pleasant conversation with her gave me the confidence that Circle8 would be exactly the place I was looking for. And she was right! I feel completely at home here."
How do you experience the collaboration with your colleagues and what do you like most about working at Circle8?
"The collaboration with my immediate colleague in the support department is great. We have a lot of fun together, are open with each other and share the same interests. That makes the work not only more enjoyable, but also easier.
"In addition, I always feel welcome at Circle8. Even when my own team isn't there, colleagues from other departments, such as recruitment - seek me out. They make small talk or ask how I'm doing. That warm feeling is truly unique and something that makes Circle8 special. I am well accepted into the group and know that I can always turn to my colleagues if I have questions. That gives a sense of safety and trust."
What are your plans or goals for the coming months at Circle8?
"I want to further develop myself in my role and gain even more knowledge about the processes within the recruitment department. In addition, I want to look at where I can contribute to improvements within our support department, so that we can work even more efficiently and effectively.
But above all I want to continue enjoying the warm and personal feeling that Circle8 gives me. That is what really makes my work here special, and I am curious what else the future here has in store for me."
Finally, a question we always like to ask: if you could swap professions for one day, what would you do?
"I love sports, fitness, nutrition and everything related to lifestyle and mindset. If I could switch professions for one day, I would like to be an online coach. It would be amazing to set up my own business that I can operate all over the world. That way I can travel, discover new cultures and at the same time help people become healthier, stronger and happier. That combination of freedom and making an impact, really seems fantastic to me."
